When the hungries hit, it’s always great to have something quick and easy to grab out of the refrigerator. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had my blood sugar tank because I’ve forgotten to eat during the day. It’s at times like these I open the fridge and start rummaging around for quick snack foods. Right along with my cheese and crackers, I love pickled items as a quick snack. From pickled okra to these delicious Refrigerator Dilly Beans – YUM! If you haven’t tried these yummy green beans, you don’t know what you are missing!
Quick Refrigerator Dilly Beans
Ingredients:
1 pound Fresh Green Beans
2 1/2 cups of water
2 1/2 cups of vinegar
4 garlic cloves
3 tbs salt
4 sprigs Fresh Dill
4 16 oz mason jars
Directions:
Remove ends of green beans. In a large pot steam green beans for 15 minutes.
Remove and run under ice-cold water for 5 minutes or until cooled off.
In another pot place water, vinegar and salt. Bring to a boil let boil for 10 minutes.
Place beans, one clove of garlic, and a sprig of dill in a mason jar.
Fill with Vinegar water and place lid on tight.
Store for 7 days in a cool place.
